Up to one hour of photography at one location, including three professionally edited photographs.
Additional photographs available for £25 each.
Sometimes, you don’t need photographs showing every part of your business. You simply need a polished, professional portrait for LinkedIn, your website, a speaker profile, press coverage, or other places where people want to put a face to your name.
Your session gives us up to one hour to create a selection of natural headshots at one location in Edinburgh or elsewhere in Scotland. I’ll guide you throughout, so you won’t need to know how to pose or worry about what you’re supposed to be doing.
You’ll choose your favourite three photographs from a private gallery, giving you a small but useful collection that helps you look professional and approachable wherever your work appears.
During your session, we’ll create a range of expressions and compositions so you have different photographs to choose from.
Depending on what you need and what suits the location, your final three might include:
You’ll choose your favourite three from a private selection gallery, so you’re not committed to deciding in advance exactly what each photograph should look like. If you would like more than three once you see the gallery, additional photographs are £25 each.o

Donna took some corporate headshots of our new Director - not only was she quick to respond (and friendly) but the final shots were first class (and turned around in record time).
Would highly recommend!
Donna was fantastic during our photo shoot, helping me to feel at ease (I'm not naturally very confident in front of the camera).
The result was stunning photos that I use across my business, on social media, my website, and featured posts. I would definitely recommend Donna.

I met Donna at a networking event and got the opportunity to work with her a few months later.
I hate having photos taken and I normally feel uncomfortable, but she was very professional, and put me at ease straight away.
It was quick, easy, and painless and she got some great photos for me.

We’ll choose one location in Edinburgh or elsewhere in Scotland that suits the way you want to present yourself. This could be your workplace, another suitable indoor setting, or outdoors.
I don’t use a studio, as I prefer to create headshots in settings that feel natural and relevant to you. Any venue hire costs would be agreed separately.
Choose clothing that feels like you and is appropriate for the people who will see the photographs. I’ll give you guidance before the session on colours, patterns, necklines, and anything else worth considering.
There will be time for a couple of clothing changes, giving you several different looks to choose from.
Most people I photograph aren’t naturally comfortable in front of a camera, so you won’t be expected to arrive knowing how to pose. I
’ll guide you throughout and make small adjustments to your position and expression as we go. The session is relaxed, with enough time for you to settle into it.
After the session, you’ll receive a private selection gallery containing the strongest photographs. You can look through them in your own time and choose the three you like best.
If you find it difficult to narrow them down, additional photographs are available for £25 each.
Your photographs will be professionally edited, including adjustments to colour, contrast, and any temporary distractions such as a blemish.
The aim is for you to look polished while still looking like yourself, so I don’t use heavy retouching that noticeably changes your appearance.
A headshot commission gives you a small collection of professional portraits, primarily showing what you look like.
If you also need photographs showing what you do, how you work, your personality, or the experience clients can expect, a brand photography commission such as Elevate is likely to suit you better.

Professional headshot photography for business owners, consultants, and professionals in Edinburgh and across Scotland.
Headshots are a strong starting point, but it's important to know they're not always the most useful option.
If you need images that show how you work, what you offer, or the wider context of your business, a brand photography session may be a better fit. This is often the case if you are updating your website, creating regular content, or trying to communicate more than just who you are. A headshot is often the starting point, but for many independent professionals or service-based small businesses it isn’t enough on its own. I’ve explained that in more detail here: Why you might need more than a headshot.
This is also where many people start to feel their imagery looks a bit too corporate, even if they can’t quite put their finger on why. I’ve broken that down further here: How to look professional online without looking corporate.
Brand photography gives you a broader set of images that can support your marketing over time, rather than a small number of portraits used in isolation.
If you are unsure which approach makes sense for your situation, I am happy to talk it through and help you decide.
